How to Use your HCS 200 Ultrasonic Gun Cleaner Kit

Equipment preparation

1. Disassemble your weapon and set aside non-metallic grips of wood or ivory.  
2. Prepare the bath by filling the ultrasonic cleaner tank with 1 gallon of water.  Add the 8-oz. pre-measured gun cleaner concentrate.
3. Add enough weapon lubricating solution to the auxiliary lubricating pan to fully cover the parts. Insert the pan into the cleaning tank.
4. Turn the unit on to mix and degas the cleaning solution.  Ultrasonic energy passes through the lubricating pan to degas the lubricating solution.

This should take approximately 10 minutes.  It should be done each time you prepare a new bath of cleaning solution or use fresh lubricating solution in your ultrasonic gun cleaning kit.

When you are ready to clean your weapon

1. Place disassembled gun parts in the basket assuring that they are separated.  Immerse the basket into the cleaning solution and turn on the unit.
2. Remove the basket and check the parts after 10 minutes (they may be hot).  If satisfied rinse the parts in fresh water and drain. 
3. Transfer the basket and parts to the lubricating pan and insert it into the cleaning tank for a 10–12-minute cycle.  This removes all traces of water and leaves the firearm looking and feeling like brand new.
4. Wipe any excess lubricant from weapons before reassembly.

When the cleaning solution loses efficiency, it should be replaced with a fresh batch.  Dispose the spent solutions according to local regulations.  Take time to clean the tanks according to the user manual.
