Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner Fast and Safe

Cleaning and restoring gold, silver and hard gems* to a like-new condition can be done quickly and safely with a tabletop ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and a specially formulated ultrasonic jewelry cleaning solution. The smartly styled Elmasonic EP10H produces countless minute bubbles that reach all surfaces of necklaces, rings, bracelets, brooches and similar complex designs. These bubbles implode on contact with all immersed surfaces and in a process called ultrasonic cavitation dislodge and carry away tarnish, grease and other contaminants unreachable using potentially damaging brushes, pastes or jewelry cloths.

The unit operates relatively noiselessly, making it a great business building service for jewelry stores, shopping center kiosks and for collectors and sellers of antique and estate jewelry.

A Plug and Play Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaning Machine

The J025EL jewelry cleaner is fitted with a 7.6 x 3.3 x 2.4-inch deep stainless steel tank that holds one quart of cleaning solution, a plastic basket with 0.24-inch mesh, and a fold-up cover with a groove that directs condensed cleaning solution back into the tank. The timer can be set from 5 to 30 minutes with remaining time displayed, or for permanent operation. Ultrasonic cavitation is at 35 kHz (35,000 cycles per second) for intensive but gentle jewelry cleaning action.

A Typical Jewelry Cleaning Sequence

1. Prepare the cleaning solution. We recommend JewelryClean S8 concentrate available in quart bottles with a recommended dilution to 2 to 5% with water. Add water and the correct amount of concentrate to the tank and turn on the ultrasound. Allow the unit to operate for 10 minutes to drive off trapped air in a process called degassing. (This must be done each time you prepare a fresh batch of solution.)

2. In the meantime position objects to be cleaned in the mesh basket. When ready simply lower the basket into the cleaning solution, close the lid and set the timer for 5 minutes. (Actual cleaning time depends on the number of items being cleaned and their condition. You’ll soon develop your routine.)

3. At the end of the cycle remove the basket and allow solution to drip back into the tank. Rinse the items and let them dry.

Tips: Do not overload the basket. It is better to clean a small number of items at a time. The cleaning solution will need replaced when cleaning cycles get longer. Drain the tank and dispose of the solution according to local regulations, thoroughly rinse the tank with clean water and prepare a new batch.
